Hope you enjoyed the pictures of my piece.  This ensemble was made from pattens that I create.   Each item begins mostly with a square and I go from there.  I guess all those years of historical clothing making still continues,

My, oh my- BEST IN SHOW

OH my!   Has it really been 2 years since my last post here.   I tried a new blog on just silk designs, but I guess this is a more comfortable spot.   So what has been happening - more of the same.   Progress, with most.  So lets start by talking about my last big accomplishment.

At the East Coast Quilt and Wearable Art Extravaganza my garments were both accepted for jury.
Here are the two pieces that were entered.

Discharged three piece - Shibori

I attended the show on Thursday to see if I had placed in the finals for the awards.  I walked up and down all the aisles scanning for my pieces.   None to be found, I began to think that perhaps since my work did not include any quilting that the pieces had been disgarded.
Finally, I decided to go and ask about my pieces, as I headed out the door, alas, I turned my head and there was my 3 piece ensemble - Discharge Linen with a ribbon on it that said-

BEST IN SHOW.

AND ONE MORE PICTURE OF MY GARMENT AND ME!

Well, here I am again - back at the old blog.  Thanks for stopping by and hope to be posting so much more in the future.
